Cooktop extraction from Germany

The BORA room in our Hawkhurst showroom: a marble island with a BORA cooktop extractor, beside green cabinets with a built-in oven

BORA at Martins of Hawkhurst

BORA cooktop extractors draw steam and cooking smells downwards, straight from the pan, so there's no need for a cooker hood above the hob. In our showroom you'll find a wide range of BORA on display and working: the X Pure and M Pure cooktop extractors, Professional and Classic sets, the X BO flex oven, a BORA fridge and the QVac vacuum sealer. Our trained staff can demonstrate them for you, and BORA's own chefs have cooked in our demo kitchen. Our best sellers are the X Pure and M Pure induction hobs with built-in extraction. We keep a large range of BORA in stock, and we install the full range, planning the venting into your kitchen design. Prices are on application, and we're always competitive.

BORA in the kitchen

Good questions

Questions about BORA

Does a BORA need ducting to the outside?

Not necessarily. A BORA can either be ducted to the outside, or recirculate the air through an activated charcoal filter that takes out cooking smells. We'll recommend the right option for your kitchen and plan the venting into your design.

How do I keep a BORA clean?

The removable parts of the extractor, such as the stainless steel grease filter, can go in the dishwasher on a programme no hotter than 65°C. Clean the grease filter after cooking anything very greasy, and at least once a week.

How often do the filters need changing?

If yours recirculates the air, its activated charcoal filter can't be cleaned, so it needs replacing once it stops taking out smells: after about 150 to 600 hours of cooking, depending on the model. Many BORA systems count the hours for you and show a warning when it's time.

What warranty does a BORA come with?

BORA cooktops and cooktop extractors come with a two-year manufacturer's warranty, and registering yours on BORA's website extends it to three years. The warranty needs the system to be installed by an authorised BORA dealer, like us. We'll confirm the terms for your model.

Can I see a BORA working?

Yes. The X Pure, M Pure, Professional, Classic and X BO are all working in our showroom, and our trained staff can show you how they cook and extract. Just ask, or book a showroom visit.
